ECO 333K : Development Economics (Online)

Course Description

3 college credit hours

The first half of this online course will cover how economic development policies and issues have taken shape since the 1930s. The second half of the class will introduce students to present policy problems and issues throughout the developing world. Specifically, students will look at the topics of domestic and external financing, human resources, agriculture and industrialization, foreign trade and government policy.

Introduction to theories of economic development; discussion of leading issues. Asian Studies 361 (Topic 21: Development Economics) and Economics 333K may not both be counted.

Prerequisites
Economics 420K with a grade of at least C-.
