This online calculus course is the first part of a two-part engineering and calculus sequence. Students must have a solid background in mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, and analytic geometry.

Introduction to the theory and applications of differential and integral calculus of functions of one variable; topics include limits, continuity, differentiation, the mean value theorem and its applications, integration, the fundamental theorem of calculus, and transcendental functions. Only one of the following may be counted: Mathematics 403K, 408C, 408K (or 308K).

Prerequisites
An appropriate score on the ALEKS placement examination, or approval of the University Extension advisor.
