M 403L : Calculus II for Business and Economics (Online)

Course Description

4 college credit hours

This online calculus course follows Mathematics 403K and is designed especially for students in business and the social sciences. Word problems use real-life business examples pertaining to finance and economics, including price and demand equations, and the optimization of profit. Students must have sufficient knowledge of basic algebra to succeed.

Differential and integral calculus of functions of several variables with applications, infinite series, improper integrals; introductions to probability, differential equations, matrices, systems of linear equations, and linear programming. Mathematics 403L and 408L (or 308L) may not both be counted. May not be counted toward the major requirement for the Bachelor of Arts, Plan I, degree with a major in mathematics or toward the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree.
